[Antelope] polygon data storage format

Hello-

We have polygon (lon,lat) vertices in text files and I am writing a PERL 
script to convert them to Datascope polygon1.2 tables.

I have not been able to find an example of the polygon data storage 
format for the file specified by polygon.dfile. Is it a comma-separated 
list of (ftype) X,Y values? Binary or ASCII?

Any help would be appreciated.
